SUPPORT SEPARATED IMMIGRANT FAMILIES!

Dear Community,

The Caravan for the Children campaign continues to shine light on forced family separation in the U.S.

In February 2021, President Biden ordered the establishment of the President's Interagency Task Force on the Reunification of Families, which includes the heads of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Department of Justice, and the State Department. One year later, according to the Task Force's own reports, more than 1,700 children remain separated from their loved ones.

This is unacceptable. We cannot let this stand.

Join the Caravan for the Children/La Caravana por los Niños (CARECEN SF, Chicana/Latina Foundation, Galeria de la Raza, Instituto Familiar de la Raza, and Latinx Racial Equity Project), and Presente.org/Alianza Americas as we launch the second phase of the campaign.

We call on President Biden and the Task Force to keep their promise and immediately uncage, reunify and heal migrant children taken from their families by the U.S. government.

We call on our community partners and allies to add your voice! We demand transparency from the Task Force about the administration's child reunification process. We call for the allocation of necessary resources to support families who are healing from this trauma. We call for the Biden administration to take urgent steps to end family separation and forced detention of immigrants as he promised during his campaign.
