La Cultura Cura seeks an enthusiastic administrative professional who is passionate about working with the Latino/Chicano/Indígena community of San Francisco. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish and has understanding of the mission district and is not intimidated about working with a diverse group and is adaptable to changing needs of the program.
La Cultura Cura offers a range of services and opportunities to youths and their families with a particular emphasis on youths that have had contact with/or are at high risk of entering the juvenile justice system. Youths and families are provided with case management and mental health services in the community and have access to culturally oriented structured after-school arts and enrichment activities. Please note this position does not provide supervision to others.
Essential Job Duties are, but not limited to the following:
- Staff the reception area to welcome clients and guests (low-moderate traffic)
- Manage operational and administrative needs of the office, i.e. manage mail/packages
- Implement office policies and procedures (for ~ 25 staff)
- Assist the Program Manager with productivity monitoring and contract management
- Assist the Program Manager with maintaining and creating program charts, spreadsheets and reports
- Assist in monitoring program budget and petty cash
- Monitor client charts and compliance and assist with data entry
- Provide logistical support for client groups and activities
- Lead or participate in planning of center events
- Administers the operational needs of the office (i.e calling IT, or maintenance or cleaning services)
- Ensures space is well maintained and welcoming to guests and clients
- Attend agency meetings, supervision, as well as training pertinent to scope of work
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager
Required Skills
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong organizational and writing skills
- Advance computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel preferred
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
- Personable attitude and affinity for working closely as part of a team
- Ability to take initiative and provide reliable management support
- Ability to empathize with demanding and challenging circumstances of target population
- Experience with collaborative work

Education, Certifications and Licenses
- Associate of Arts degree, or high school diploma and two years' experience working in office settings/customer service
Conditions of Continued Employment
- Must submit to a tuberculosis test annually
- Must pass Department of Justice Fingerprint screening pass
Compensation
This is a full time, non-exempt position with full benefits. The position is 35 hours per week. The hiring range for this position is $21.98 - $23.63 per hour based on skill set and experience.
