Program Coordinator II - La Cultura Cura

La Cultura Cura Program is looking for a highly motivated and community-driven individual. The potential candidate should be able to demonstrate cultural competency in addressing the diverse psychosocial needs of the Mission community including issues pertinent: to gender, race, language, sexual orientation and socio-economic status. The qualified applicant will provide services that include individual/family/group and community interventions, and provide linkage service to mental health and violence prevention services.

La Cultura Cura Program offers a range of services and opportunities to youth and their families with a particular emphasis on individuals that have had contact with/or are at high risk of entering the juvenile justice system. Youth and families are provided with case management and mental health services in the community and have access to culturally oriented structured after-school arts and enrichment activities.

Essential Job Duties are, but not limited to the following:
  • Staff supervision and program coordination efforts to ensure providers advance programming expectations including individual and group activities
  • Tracking and maintenance of program data to improve program deliverables and individual contract objectives
  • Oversees and maintains data and evaluation efforts for contract compliance and works with Program Director to generate end-of-year reports
  • Coordinates staff training schedule and is responsible for staff development activities including evaluation and professional development planning
  • Responsible for referral log maintenance and follow-up with service providers and assigned staff to ensure the quality of services; maintains collaborative partnerships with key partners including SFUSD, Probation Department, etc.
  • Responsible for providing weekly administrative supervision including charting compliance and quality assurance reviews to Behavioral Health Practitioners and/or case managers
  • Responsible for Quality assurance of services provided by staff under supervision
  • Provides case management and advocacy services as part of the treatment plan
  • Coordinates services with staff and community agencies to ensure a continuum of services are provided to clients 
  • Maintains progress notes, billing, and charts in compliance with HIPPA
  • Complies with all legal and ethical requirements set forth by the Board of Behavioral Science and with the policies of the San Francisco Behavioral Health Department
  • Attends all CBHS training and implements policies
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Required Skills
  • Bilingual Spanish/English (must be fluent in Spanish)
  • Strong bilateral communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Four years' experience working with in-risk populations with an emphasis on working with Chicanx/Latinx community 
  • At least two years’ experience with program coordination and/or contract management
  • Two years related work experience managing or supervising others
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to issues of diversity in the Latinx/Chicanx community, especially around sexual orientation, culture, language, and gender
  • Ability to work early evening and Saturdays are required
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with public mental health
  • Two years' experience managing or supervising others
  • Bicultural competence
  • Familiar with Latinx population and experience working with children, youth and their families
  • Family therapy training and group therapy experience
Education, Certifications and Licenses
  • Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice or related field
Conditions of Continued Employment
  • Must submit to a tuberculosis test annually
  • Must pass Department of Justice Fingerprint screening pass
Compensation

This is a full time, exempt position with full benefits. The position is 35 hours per week. The hiring range for this position is fixed, from $60,000 - $65,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience.
