IFR’s Internship Training Program provides internship training for emerging bilingual/bicultural mental health clinicians at the Master, Practicum, Doctoral, and Post-doctoral-levels. Our Internship Training Program is renowned for its unique culturally relevant approach to healing and with a focus on the psychological realities facing the Chicano/Latino/Indigena population.
The program provides multiple service tracks, affording Interns the opportunity to work with unique subpopulations and gain experience in targeted interventions. IFR’s service tracks are linked to specific programs, including La Clinica (IFR’s outpatient mental health clinic), Early Intervention (IFR’s school-based mental health program), Si a la Vida (IFR’s integrated HIV services for the LGBTQ+ Latino community), and La Cultura Cura (IFR’s youth program).
Applications for the FY25-26 cohort can be submitted starting January 15 through May 09, 2025. Interested applicants are encouraged to read the attached prospectus and complete and submit the Application. Please submit your application as early as possible to ensure consideration.
