Instituto Familiar de la Raza, Inc. is a multi-service community health and social service agency with an emphasis on serving the Chicano/Latino/Indígena community in San Francisco with a special focus on the diverse needs of the Mission District. Services include a wide range of mental health, HIV-related services, and social services, including health promotion, education, prevention, early intervention, case management, psychological and psychiatric interventions, and cultural/social and spiritual re-enforcement. The agency serves children, youth, adults, and families. It has a rich history of working collaboratively with other agencies to meet the needs of the Chicano/Latino/Indígena community and other cultural/racial communities in San Francisco.
JOB/PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Under the supervision of the Differential Response Program Manager, the DR Program Coordinator provides coordination support to the Differential Response (DR) initiative within the Family Resource System (FRS). The position is responsible for data entry and basic reports, supporting training activities, and reinforcing procedures in implementation and quality assurance procedures related to Differential Response services. The Specialist communicates with partners as directed by the Program Manager to coordinate logistics for meetings and trainings.
Works under close supervision of the DR Program Manager. Performs duties according to established policies and procedures.
Essential Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Program Coordination & Support
- Provide administrative and logistical support for DR program activities, including scheduling trainings and meetings
- Schedule and organize DR Liaison trainings, RED Team meetings, and quarterly collaborative meetings

- Communicate with partners as directed by the supervisor
- Coordinate logistics for meetings and trainings
Data & Reporting
- Maintain, enter, and update DR databases and tracking systems (e.g., FFPSA Tracker, CMS/Carbon reports)
- Generate routine reports using established templates
- Support CQI activities by collecting and organizing data
- Use basic Excel functions for data tracking
- Follow established data entry and documentation procedures
- Flag discrepancies to supervisor
- Maintain organized electronic and paper files
- Assist with referral triage, tracking, and coordination
- Track referrals and route information to the appropriate staff
- Support referral processes under supervision
- Support cross-agency communication to promote timely and effective service delivery
Compliance & Program Improvement
- Assist with gathering documentation for site visits
- Provide administrative support for audit preparation
- Flag issues to supervisor
- Follow established documentation procedures
- Assist with program evaluation activities and feedback collection
- Prepare agendas, meeting materials, and documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned to support program operations
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Extensive knowledge of Case Management/Family Advocacy Practices
- Understanding of Community Health Education Principles, Family Support Standards and Child Abuse Protective Factors
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint and utilizing email communication and data systems
- Excellent written and oral skills in English
- Excellent organizational skills – Detail oriented
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
- Knowledge and sensitivity to issues of diversity, including those of gender, race, language, sexual orientation and socio-economic status
- Proven ability to communicate effectively under high stress situations; demonstrated diplomacy and sensitivity with clients under stress
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Knowledge and experience with the San Francisco FRC initiative
- Experience in a non-profit community agency
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSES

BA Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, Public Administration, or a related field and 2 years’ experience providing case management and/or family advocacy services, or a combination of 6 plus years work experience and education
CONDITIONS OF CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT
- Must pass and maintain annual Tuberculosis Test
- Must pass Department of Justice Fingerprint screening
- Complete annual recurrent online training
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS²
Salary Range: This is a full-time position with benefits, with an hourly salary range of $31.58 - $32.00. Commensurate with work experience, qualifications, and education.
All full-time positions are based on a minimum of thirty-five (35) hours per week. This is a full-time non-exempt position at 35 hours a week. The position is eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, and 403(b) plans, earn vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, two wellness days (birthday and hire date) and receive ongoing opportunities for learning.
