I am still very much drawn to IFR's guiding values...

I decided to apply to IFR after hearing about it from a co-worker from a previous workplace. She talked about the amazing work she did with IFR.
Coincidentally, we now are both working here at IFR, which I believe is testament to IFR's draw.
When I applied to IFR I was impressed by the pilares that guide the work done at the agency. After working here nearly 4 years, I am still very much drawn to IFR’s guiding values. It is very affirming to work in an environment that values traditional healing practices and community building.
One of my favorite parts of working at IFR is the Dia de Muertos celebration. Every year is different, but there is always undoubtedly a sense of collective healing that occurs during the ceremony. I have learned many things from all of my coworkers, but I am especially grateful for the opportunity that I have had to learn Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). Being able to participate in the year and a half training, as well as having a community of CPP therapists at IFR to do consultation with has been invaluable in terms of my growth as a clinician.
